The suction from the cups pulls fluids into the area and can break tiny blood vessels just under the skin, which may lead to red, round marks that look like bruises but are not actual bruises. These marks usually fade in a week or two. While cupping shouldn't be painful, you might feel some tightness during the treatment and mild soreness afterward.
